Key Witness For Trump’s Lawyers In Fani Willis’ Hearing Fail To Impress During His Testimony

A hearing anticipated by defence attorneys for Donald Trump and his associates in Georgia to extract critical evidence fell short of expectations.

Terrence Bradley, described as a key witness, offered speculative testimony regarding the alleged relationship between Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and prosecutor Nathan Wade.

Bradley, Wade’s former law partner and divorce attorney, faced questions for two hours about the timeline of the purported relationship between Willis and Wade.

However, his responses failed to provide concrete evidence, leading to frustration among Trump’s defence team.

The defence seeks to disqualify the district attorney’s office from prosecuting Trump and his co-defendants by proving that Willis hired Wade, with whom she was romantically involved, before the start of the case against Trump. Allegations suggest that Willis financially benefited from the case due to her relationship with Wade.

Despite being labelled a “star witness” by the defence, Bradley’s testimony lacked direct conversations or proof regarding the commencement of the alleged relationship. Defence attorneys sought to establish a timeline suggesting that the relationship began earlier than claimed by Willis and Wade.

Closing arguments on the matter are scheduled for Friday, March 1, with Bradley’s testimony failing to provide the decisive evidence Trump’s defence hoped for.

The case involves Trump and several co-defendants charged with various offences related to attempts to overturn Georgia’s 2020 presidential election results.

While some co-defendants have reached plea deals, Trump and others continue to contest the charges.
