For most parents, coordinating birthday parties for siblings is a scheduling challenge. For Nauzhae Drake, it’s a statistical miracle. The Apple Valley mother has now done the seemingly impossible: given birth to all four of her children on July 7 — in four different years, and without any medical induction.
Drake’s newest addition, baby Kailowa, entered the world on July 7, joining his three older siblings — Kewan, Na’zaiyla, and Khalan — who were also born on that exact date in previous years.
“That is always everyone’s response,” Drake said. “‘You have triplets?’ And I’m like, ‘No.’ ‘Twins?’ ‘No. They’re all born in different years.’”
Defying the Odds

What makes this case even more extraordinary is that none of the children were due on July 7, and none of the births were medically induced.
“He didn’t believe I didn’t have an induction,” Drake said, referring to her attending physician. “So he went into my chart and saw that all of them were spontaneous.”

Statisticians estimate the odds of four siblings being born on the same day of the year — without any scheduling — are in the millions. It’s a natural alignment so rare, even Drake’s own mother, LaKesha Harrison, known as Lovie, was in disbelief the third time around.
“The third time she said, ‘Mom, I’m in labor,’ I told her, ‘I know that you are lying,’” Harrison recalled with a laugh. But when the fourth child arrived on July 7, even the family began suggesting she try her luck elsewhere: “Everyone has told me to go and play the lottery,” Drake joked.
A Birthday That’s Now a Family Holiday
With all four of her children sharing a birthday — the seventh day of the seventh month — Drake now has a very special reason to celebrate every July 7. What once seemed like a coincidence has become a family tradition that makes her household the envy of Las Vegas gamblers.
While Las Vegas is known for its lucky sevens, Nauzhae Drake’s Apple Valley home is now the place where July 7 reigns supreme.
