We all love Houston rapper Megan Thee Stallion’s fearlessness. She’s not afraid to speak her mind, and that’s why she is one of the most popular artists in the mainstream.
After taking a (very brief) hiatus from social media, she returned with the promo for her new single, “Thot Sh*t,” and delivered a politically charged video taking aim at all of her right-wing critics in a way that only Megan can pull off… with an abundance of unapologetic twerking.
In the video, Meg twerks on a garbage truck, a cereal aisle, in boardrooms, in operating rooms… she even twerks on a police car. But her message is more than just throwing her booty around in several outfits, which will leave viewers feeling hot under the collar.
It’s all rooted in female empowerment.
The “Cry Baby” rapper” takes on a Congressman who refers to the in the video “stupid regressive whores” who “should have their mouths washed out with holy water.”
In a phone call to the Congressman, Meg spells it out for him clearly:
“The women that you accidentally tryna step on, are everybody that you depend on. They treat your diseases, they cook your meals, they haul your trash, they drive your ambulances, they guard you while you sleep. They control every part of your life. Do not f*ck with them.”
Megan has faced her fair share of criticism. Her overtly sexual rap persona has led to not only politicians but even several of her musical peers, attempting to use her sexuality to negate her raw talent.
Meg’s “Thot Sh*t” is here to stay. And we’re here for it.
