On Saturday, June 15, North West celebrated turning eleven with a party at the American Dream mall in New Jersey. A video Kim posted on Instagram shows Kai as a special guest at the party.
The ‘fan-meeting’ with North West comes after Cenat’s controversial correspondence with rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, sparked by his receipt of YZY clothing that didn’t quite fit him.
Back in March, Kanye West made headlines for his outburst against popular Twitch streamer Kai Cenat, accusing him of being paid to mock his Yeezy sweatpants.
The tension between the two escalated when Ye said that Kai Cenat was an industry plant, and he did not appreciate Kai mentioning his daughter’s name on his stream following the incident.
Months later, the rivalry has reappeared in an unexpected setting. After attending North West’s eleventh birthday celebration over the weekend, Kai Cenat shared photos with her. The images, which showed North and Kai in a relaxed and friendly environment, went viral immediately and sparked a new round of controversy.
Some think Kim Kardashian orchestrated the link-up with North despite her ex-husband. In contrast, many believe it was a harmless meetup.
“I know Kanye is mad, not cause there is anything wrong with this, but bc Kai said dem pants ye sent him was too big 😂,” a fan wrote.
“I was confused at first, but honestly, Kai’s audience is children,” someone added.
Another commented, “It’s ok cause it’s a celebrity?? Make it make sense !!! Imagine your 11 yr old daughter saying I want to go hangs out with this 22 yr old guy from up the street for my bday …… automatic no!! A celebrity status changes that; how so?”
Kai Cenat has responded to the criticism that he was “being weird” by posting a picture of himself with North West following her 11th birthday celebration.
“Everybody who literally made yesterday weird, you’re being so weird, bro,” he said. “Not gonna lie, everybody who made yesterday a weird thing… First thing’s first, bro, I’m North’s favorite streamer, bro. So yesterday, all she wanted to do was meet me. That was it, literally! So, anybody who’s making it weird, like, that’s the weirdest thing ever.”
According to Cenat, numerous kids watch his content and would “love” to meet him.
“We had a great time yesterday,” he continued. “I met Kim Kardashian! I met North, she’s great, bro. She has a good group of friends; everything was great, bro. The vlog drops tomorrow; it’s going to be 30 minutes plus, so if y’all wanna see how the day went yesterday, it was epic.”
