Real Housewives of Atlanta star Wendy Osefo says former President Donald Trump’s chosen vice presidential running mate, JD Vance, is just a ploy to add ‘youthfulness’ to his political campaign.
Wendy Osefo took to social media to criticize JD Vance, Donald Trump’s newly announced Vice Presidential pick. She labeled him a ‘fraud’ and supported her claims with solid evidence.
Wendy Osefo, known for her academic prowess, has long been an outspoken supporter of integrity and honesty, both on and off-screen.
“Hello, I hope you’re well,” Osefo began in a video she uploaded on her official Instagram page. “I have made a conscious decision to stay out of the political realm during the summertime for the election of 2024 just to keep my peace. But a lot has been going on, and I just have to step in real quick.”
She continued, “Not only was there an attempted assassination on a former US president this weekend, but now former president Donald Trump, who’s running on the Republican ticket, has selected JD Vance as his vice presidential pick.”
Osefo’s fiery accusations surfaced in a video in which she shared videos and quotes from Vance openly criticizing Trump in the past. But before dropping her ‘evidence,’ she shared a caution for all voters.
“Y’all, please do not be fooled. JD Vance is a fraud. He doesn’t like Trump. He never liked Trump. He’s said so so many times,” she added. “This election is going to be the most consequential of our lifetime, so we need to stay up to speed.”
Wendy Osefo posted a compilation of Vance’s previous statements expressing his disdain for Trump, contrasting it to the Ohio senator’s recent support.
In one clip from 2016, Vance is heard saying, “I’m a Never Trump guy. I never liked him.”
Another shot highlighted an interview where Vance mentioned, “I can’t stomach Trump. I think that he’s obnoxious, and he is leading the white working class to a very dark place.”
Another clip showed JD Vance’s new support for Donald Trump: “He’s the best president of my lifetime, and he revealed the corruption in this country like nobody else.”
39-year-old JD Vance, the Republican author and politician known for his book “Hillbilly Elegy,” is now being described as a once-strident critic who has become a zealous follower of former president Donald Trump.
