LEXINGTON, KY — Rapper Rubi Rose received a public apology from her ex-boyfriend, DDG, after he joked that she had racked up “60 bodies.”
A body count is the number of people an individual has slept with.
It all started when Rubi tweeted, “My next n–ga gotta be tall, I wanna wear heels.”
DDG saw her tweet and clapped back, “My next girl gotta have less than 60 bodies.”
The rapper caught flack online from Rubi supporters and others, who blasted him for his blatant lie.
“My tweet was petty & made up, and i admit i took it too far, that’s my bad,” DDG wrote on Instagram Story Rubi Rose. “I’m Sorry Rubster.”
The rappers were dating on and off for months before finally splitting earlier this year. At the time, Rubi took to Twitter to claims that her then-boyfriend hired pr-stitutes.
“Literally blocks every rapper in the industry who dms me,” she wrote in March. “like damn I just wanna make music smh. idgaf how another n-gga feel about me. I love him fr, but it’s just too much now. He deserves to be happy and so do I. He wants to chase prostitutes, i’m not the one for him. This n-gga mad I don’t wanna be with him and took my phone and posted that weird sh-t. Literally locked himself in a room and took my phone.”
The rapper made a cameo appearance in Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP” video last year.
“It’s a really good time for us right now, for all of us. When men do remixes, we are now featured more,” she told DJ Booth back in March. “We’re really putting on for the ones after us. When the world opens up and we can do more shows, it will only get better.”
Last year she released her debut mixtape, “For The Streets,” and is currently working on her debut album.
