In a heartwarming show of support, Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles proudly endorsed her husband, Jonathan Owens, ahead of his game with the Green Bay Packers against the Minnesota Vikings at Lambeau Field in Wisconsin.
The 26-year-old gymnastics sensation took to her Instagram Story to share a video of Owens, a 28-year-old safety for the Packers, as he geared up for the much-anticipated match.
In the video, Owens could be seen stylishly sporting a Balenciaga sweater, black pants, and a “Working on It” tote bag, exuding confidence and enthusiasm for the game.
Biles, who recently reunited with her professional athlete husband following the conclusion of her gymnastics season, showed her support in no uncertain terms, captioning the video with an exuberant “GAME DAY” repeated five times, reports People.
The affectionate display of support didn’t stop there. Biles also shared a delightful photo of Owens’ nephew, Karter, decked out in Packers colors, complete with a foam cheesehead – a trademark accessory for Green Bay fans. Karter, suitably prepared for the fall NFL game, wore gloves and multiple layers.
Additionally, Biles posted a cheerful mirror selfie, showcasing herself in a white sweatshirt emblazoned with Owens’ name in prominent lettering. She also featured several photos of Owens in his Packers uniform, displaying the depth of her enthusiasm for her husband’s game.
This isn’t the first time Simone Biles has demonstrated her commitment to supporting Jonathan Owens in style. Last week, the decorated Olympian displayed a Packers-inspired manicure on her Instagram Story. She posted a video of her partially grown-out, mismatched green and nude nails, perfectly complementing her husband’s jersey.
Biles’ nail update came after she expressed her longing for her spouse due to their long-distance relationship during the NFL season. The couple, who tied the knot earlier this year, were unexpectedly separated just one week after their wedding when Owens, formerly with the Houston Texans, signed with the Packers in May.
Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens, who got engaged in February 2022 after connecting on the dating app Raya in March 2020, celebrated their love with a courthouse wedding in April. Subsequently, they enjoyed a destination ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, surrounded by loved ones in May.
After becoming the most decorated gymnast of all time at the World Championships earlier this month, Biles opened up about the impact of married life on her perspective.
During an appearance on the Today show, she remarked, “Gymnastics is just something I get to come in and have the privilege of doing. I don’t feel like it’s the end-all, be-all anymore, as before I kind of felt like that. I get to go home to my husband, to my dogs, to my house, and all of the things. So it feels really good.”
Clad in a sparkling “Owens” necklace, Biles also hinted at her upcoming fall and winter plans, which include wholeheartedly cheering on her husband. She expressed her excitement about supporting him, especially as he plays for the Green Bay Packers during the holiday season.
