Stefflon Don is catching some serious heat online after a surprise street-side link-up with viral sensation Onijah Robinson, also known as the self-proclaimed Queen of Pakistan. And let’s just say… the internet is not impressed.
What was supposed to be a light-hearted moment with Stefflon Don vibing to her own song while Onijah danced on the sidewalk quickly spiraled into accusations of groupie behavior, forced clout-chasing, and straight-up exploitation. Fans are calling foul, accusing Steff of trying to ride Onijah’s viral wave instead of showing genuine support.
Let’s go back.
You might remember Onijah Robinson, the New Yorker who made headlines in 2024 after flying across the world to marry a 19-year-old Pakistani man she met online. But the fairy tale turned into a public nightmare. After arriving in Pakistan, her plans derailed fast when her young boo, Nidal Ahmed Memon, reportedly ghosted her, allegedly because she used filters to appear like a white, blonde woman online. His family apparently wasn’t having it either and took him into hiding. Meanwhile, Onijah’s visa expired, leaving her stranded abroad for six long months.
She finally made her way back to the U.S.. Since then, she’s been on a press tour of sorts, giving interviews, going viral, and becoming an unexpected internet darling.
And now? She’s in New York, hanging out with Stefflon Don, casually vibing in her car, and even giving a sneak peek at her now-resurfaced boo, Nidal, via FaceTime.
But fans are side-eyeing the entire situation.
“Stefflon Don is a corny ass clout chaser!” one fan wrote. “Why are you shoving a camera in Onijah Robinson’s face like a groupie?”
Another didn’t hold back: “Steff paid for this. Sad. Protect Onijah from weird clout chasers.”
A third chimed in with the kind of blunt honesty the internet never holds back: “Celebs are the real clout chasers. Steff clout chasing bc she know damn well if this lady didn’t get famous, she wouldn’t be caught seated next to her at all.”
While some are here for the link-up and love seeing Onijah out and about, others feel the rapper is doing the absolute most and for the wrong reasons.
