Kevin Hunt, Wendy Williams’s ex-husband, has decided to go to court to ask for two years worth of unpaid spousal support from the ailing former TV host.

In the latest development in the ongoing saga involving former daytime talk show host Wendy Williams, her ex-husband Kevin Hunter has filed a lawsuit seeking two years of back alimony payments. This move comes after Wendy’s guardian claimed she had no remaining funds, resulting in a financial battle between the couple.

According to Kevin, Wendy agreed to pay him monthly as part of their divorce settlement. These payments stopped when the former daytime television star was under financial guardianship in 2022. He now requests that she resume payments to make up for the money he has yet to receive.

Court documents obtained by Radar Online show Kevin Hunter saying that the impact of the sudden halt in payments has affected his financial stability

“I have not received my severance payments since January 2022, which Plaintiff is required to make pursuant to the Matrimonial Settlement Agreement,” he continued. This is an emergent matter because I rely on the severance pay for my living expenses, and having been without this income for twenty-three months has affected me greatly.”

He added: “Therefore, I respectfully request that the Court require (Wendy Williams) to immediately pay all severance payments which may be due and owing at the time of this Court’s Order.”

Kevin Hunter is requesting a resolution to Wendy’s AFTRA Retirement Plan. He asked the court to intervene and ensure Wendy signed the Qualified Domestic Relations Order for the AFTRA Retirement Plan or to appoint him as an Attorney in Fact to execute the document if Wendy did not comply within seven days of the court’s order.

“I would not have to file this motion if the plaintiff had not stopped my severance payments and if the plaintiff had signed the qualified domestic relations order for the AFTRA retirement plan,” Hunter emphasized, revealing his frustration with Wendy’s lack of cooperation.

Kevin Hunter also asked for proof that Wendy had ‘no money.’

Wendy Williams and Kevin Hunter’s divorce was finalized in January 2020 after Hunter allegedly welcomed a baby girl with another woman while still married to Williams.

Although their divorce is finalized, the pair have been in a series of legal skirmishes, including trying to extend his alimony payments, which were denied on the spot.
