A shocking security video aired by CNN appears to show Sean “Diddy” Combs attacking singer Cassie in a Los Angeles hotel hallway in 2016.
The video shows the business mogul beating his ex-girlfriend during an incident that, according to Ventura’s complaint, happened at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles.
This latest update in a months-long series of public allegations and revelations of physical and sexual violence against the hip-hop mogul was assembled from various camera angles on March 5, 2016.
In November 2023, R&B legend Cassie Ventura filed a lawsuit in Manhattan Federal District Court on Thursday, accusing her ex-lover Diddy of sexual acts of physical, physiological, and sexual abuse throughout their relationship.
But, she dropped the case a day later after the parties reached an out-of-court settlement.
In the video, Ventura emerges from a hotel room and walks to the elevator. Combs is seen running towards the singer down the hallway while carrying a towel around his waist.
As he catches up with her, he throws her to the ground by the nape of her neck. As Ventura is on the ground, Diddy retrieves her purse and suitcase from the floor, turns around, and kicks her again as she lies motionless on the floor while securing his towel closed with one hand.
Combs grabbed Cassie by the hoodie she was wearing and dragged her back towards the room.
Then, Ventura is seen getting to his feet slowly. She picks things and phone up off the floor. Combs reappears, and the security camera captures Combs seemingly pushing Ventura from a mirror directly across them.
A few moments later, Combs sits in a chair, picks something (seemingly like a glass vase) up off a table, and throws it firmly in Ventura’s direction.
Cassie’s earlier lawsuit had documented the assault, claiming that Combs was intoxicated and had punched her in her face, leaving her with a black eye. So she attempted to escape after he slept.
However, it is reported that he woke up before she could hide in the elevator.
