Actress Tiffany Haddish had a change of heart about Henry Cavill after meeting the Superman actor in person.
The Girls Trip star, 44, admitted that her initial attraction faded upon discovering Cavill’s awkward demeanor, a sentiment she has experienced with other celebrities as well.
In an interview with the Los Angeles Times published on May 2, Haddish confessed:
“All the famous guys I used to think, ‘Oh, I would love to do it to him,’ I know them now and I’m like, ‘No.'”
Recounting her encounter with the 40-year-old Cavill, she added:
“I used to really want Henry Cavill. I think he’s so hot. But I met him and he was so awkward.”
Reflecting on their interaction, Haddish humorously suggested that discussing Dungeons & Dragons might have put Cavill more at ease. Despite the awkwardness, she conceded that Cavill is “still beautiful.”
While Cavill has moved on with Hollywood executive Natalie Viscuso and is expecting a child, Haddish is steering clear of dating celebrities following her split from Common in 2021.
She revealed that she’s now using Bumble, rather than the celebrity dating app Raya, to meet potential partners.
Haddish has even implemented a new dating policy, stating that she’ll only stay with a partner for nine months before moving on. As for her criteria, she emphasized the importance of a good credit score and hygiene, explaining:
“You need to have good hygiene. That’s really important to me. I can’t stand bad breath or funky armpits.”
While her encounter with Cavill didn’t lead to romance, Haddish remains open to finding the right partner outside the realm of celebrity.
