Hollywood actress Halle Berry wants you all to know that she is not here for the shenanigans of conservative politician Sarah Palin — who is also a distant relative of hers, saying that Palin is not invited to the cookout.
“She may be on the tree but she ‘AINT invited to the cookout,” Berry tweeted.
In 2012 revealed that she and Palin are distantly related while during a promo run for her movie, Cloud Atlas.
“You wanna know who I’m related to? Sarah Palin,” Berry said at the time. “In some twisted way … somebody sent me this information that she was my distant [relative].”
We doubt Palin, the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee and former Alaska governor, cares much about being shunned by the John Wick 3 actress and her diverse family — but the post is still hilarious.

During an interview with InStyle last year, Berry says that social media has helped her tell her own stories after years of speculation and rumors in the press.
“Oh, look at my fabulous life,” she told the publication. “How can I use this as a platform to represent who I am and to show my love of art? How do I fit my kids — the biggest part of my life — in there without exploiting them?” I wanted the first image I posted in March 2016 of my bare back to show a woman who was feminine, strong, and in touch with her sexuality.”
