Drea Kelly, R. Kelly’s ex-wife, posted an Instagram message celebrating 11 years with Cisco Rosado, a member of Love & Hip Hop New York’s infamous Creep Squad, sparking social media speculation.
Drea Kelly, whose real name is Andrea Lee, was married to R Kelly between 1996 and 2009. In April, Drea Kelly spoke up and shed light on her alleged physical and financially abusive marriage to the disgraced R&B singer.
While reflecting on her tumultuous marriage, Drea recalled that she saw early signs of abuse in her childhood.
She recalled seeing her grandfather, who was a pastor, physically assault her grandmother and how this normalized abuse in relationships. Drea mirrored how this influenced her eventual relationship with the “Ignition” singer.
“A lot of people want to ask women in that position, ‘How could you ever marry a man like that? Because it wasn’t foreign to me. I grew up in a household where domestic violence was prevalent, and not only was it prevalent, I thought, ‘Well, if a man of the cloth is abusive, surely a man of the world is, and they ended up being so much alike.'”
She went on to say that her final straw came when R. Kelly allegedly slapped her so hard while she was sitting on the toilet that she fell into their bathtub.
In 2022, the Grammy-winning R&B singer was convicted of three counts of producing child sexual abuse images and three counts of enticing minors for sex.
It seems Dre Kelly has finally been able to move on with her love life after she outdoored her “11 years” with Cisco Rosado.
But in 2014, Drea appeared on the reality show Hollywood Exes, where she publicly remarried, raising questions about how her alleged long-term relationship with Cisco fit into her personal life.
Fans are also perplexed because Cisco Rosado’s antics on Love & Hip Hop: New York were well-documented. He pursued multiple women, which appears to contradict the timeline Drea suggests.
Others are simply baffled by the apparent inconsistencies.
The internet is abuzz with theories and opinions, and only Drea Kelly can offer further clarification on the matter.
