Wendy Williams was caught on camera expressing her frustration with her caretakers after a series of mishaps following her son Kevin Jr.’s college graduation in Miami.
In a video captured by the “We in Miami” podcast crew, Williams can be heard yelling at her team for leaving her mobility scooter unattended in the street. “And then both of you walked away leaving my s— in the middle of the street like this,” she exclaimed.
The incident unfolded when Williams and her team were leaving a graduation dinner. Confusion arose when they attempted to get into the wrong car, leaving Williams stranded with her scooter.
“They got the wrong car, so I knocked on the door and it was the totally wrong car,” Williams explained. “They left my scooter as they walked over there.”
Visibly upset, Williams emphasized the value of her mobility scooter, stating, “Leaving my most precious, most … this cost a f—king mint motherf—ker.”
She continued to express her frustration with her caretakers, emphasizing the importance of their responsibilities. “They wanna work for me, that’s what they’re supposed to be doing,” she declared. “They’re making money from me, get the goddamn car.”
After the clip featuring Williams, the host of “We in Miami” provided context for why Williams was so distressed with her caregiving team.
“Apparently they wanted her to be in her wheelchair when she was leaving the restaurant, and she wanted to walk cause she felt like she was capable of walking,” the host said. “So Kevin, her son, actually picked the wheelchair up and walked it outside the restaurant and Wendy walked.”
“So, I think, according to Wendy’s family, she was really upset about the disorganization and the lack of care,” he continued. “She indicated the car was not close to assure she was like, even getting into the right car. It was just really messy, so she was really upset and her family was really upset, too.”
Wendy Williams attended her son’s college graduation on Thursday, Dec. 19, marking a rare public appearance. Accompanying her were her father, Thomas Williams Sr., 93, and her sister, Wanda Finnie. During the ceremony, the emotional former TV host shed tears and wiped her eyes as Kevin walked across the stage to accept his diploma.
