Holly Robinson Peete, former contestant on the reality television show, The Apprentice, has spoken out for the first time about the time Donald Trump once referred to her as the ân-word.â
Since Trumpâs election run, rumors have been swirling around his behavior behind the scenes of the show, which catapulted him into global stardom.
During an appearance on SiriusXM Urban Viewâs The Karen Hunter Show on Tuesday, Peete revealed that she could not win her showâs season â simply because she was a Black woman.
âI had the unique experience of spending a month with him on celebrity apprentice 10 years,â she told Hunter.
Peete says the incident took place before Trump began spewing his Barack Obama birther conspiracies.
âI found him to be kind of piggish and bullish and stuff,â she said of Trump, âbut I didnât find him to be just this â who he is now, I did not see that.â
Peete continued: âShortly after the finale, rumors started going around that he had tossed out an âN-wordâ referring to me. When the producer told me when it happened, during the finale, I remember the moment. I wasnât in earshot, but I could see them deciding between me and Bret Michaels.â
She then witnessed Trump âtalking with producers and theyâre really animated and that was when I heard that he said, âThey want the âN-wordâ to win.â Because I guess the network wanted me to win or me to be chosen and Trump wanted Bret.â
