After weeks of drama, Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales walked away as the winners of Love Island USA Season 7, making history as the first Latino couple to take the crown.
Amaya and Bryan walked away with the $100,000 grand prize and the hearts of viewers across the country.
The finale aired Sunday night, July 13, bringing the island chaos to an end. America had the final say, and the votes confirmed what many already felt in their hearts: Amaya and Bryan were that couple. Their chemistry, emotional growth, and ride-or-die energy sealed the win.
Let’s rewind for a second. Amaya didn’t have the smoothest ride on the island. The 25-year-old nurse and New York native first tried building a connection with Zak Skrakaew, a professional model. But their vibe was off from the jump. After one especially awkward convo in episode 27, where Zak told Amaya he was “put off” by her kissing him with permission, things took a hard left. Amaya, never one to hold her tongue, hit him with the now-viral line: “You’re an extremely odd individual.” And just like that, Zak was dumped from the villa. (Bye!)
Enter Bryan Arenales.
The 28-year-old stepped in like a real one, defending Amaya during the messy “Stand on Business” challenge when several of the guys accused her of being “too affectionate.” Bryan wasn’t here for the pile-on and made it clear that he saw her heart beyond the noise. That moment changed the game.

From there, their connection grew fast and real. Their bond wasn’t performative. It was raw, sweet, sometimes spicy, and always authentic. Fans noticed. And clearly, so did the public voters.
After being crowned winners, Amaya kept it real in her acceptance speech.
“Boy, was this a ride,” she said, smiling. “But, man, I would do this ride all over again if it just led me to him.”
She then gave a message that hit home for a lot of people watching:
“This is a message to everyone out there who is misunderstood. Nobody should ever be tamed. There’s always someone out there for you who’s going to love you for you and appreciate all of your craziness. Don’t ever settle for nobody.”
While Amaya and Bryan were the stars of the night, here’s how the rest of the couples ranked:
- 2nd Place: Olandria Carthen and Nicolas Vansteenberghe
- 3rd Place: Huda Mustafa and Chris Seeley (who gave viewers a finale breakup full of tension and confusion)
- 4th Place: Iris Kendall and Jose “Pepe” Garcia-Gonzalez
And now that the sun has set on Season 7, fans are already asking: Where’s the spin-off?
