Footage shows the child and her mother in the water alongside the Carnival Sunrise as dock workers and passengers reacted in alarm, scrambling to initiate a rescue.
According to eyewitness accounts shared online, the girl had briefly moved away from her mother before falling into the water. In a matter of seconds, the child’s mother jumped in after her, a decision many viewers later described as pure instinct rather than conscious calculation.
