Megan Thee Stallion returned to the Broadway stage after a recent medical emergency, resuming her role in Moulin Rouge! The Musical at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, just days after being hospitalized.

The Grammy-winning rapper was back under the lights on Thursday night, following a health scare that interrupted her performance earlier in the week. On Tuesday, March 31, Megan began feeling ill during the show and was unable to continue. Her representative, Didier Morais, confirmed that she was taken to a local hospital for evaluation shortly after leaving the stage.

Doctors later determined that she was dealing with extreme exhaustion, dehydration, vasoconstriction, and low metabolic levels. She received treatment and was discharged before the end of the night. By the following day, her team shared that she was resting and recovering.

Megan addressed the incident directly in a message to fans, describing the experience as a turning point. She said she had been pushing herself beyond her limits and “running on empty,” adding that the moment on stage left her feeling like she might faint. Despite attempting to continue the performance, she ultimately had to step away.

Her return to the stage comes as she continues her Broadway debut in Moulin Rouge! The Musical, where she plays Zidler, the club’s manager and one of the production’s central characters. The role marks a significant crossover for the Houston rapper, who joins a growing list of high-profile artists stepping into Broadway productions.

With her quick return following treatment, Megan resumed performances as scheduled, continuing her limited run in the show after the brief interruption.
