Saweetie is reportedly dealing with serious legal trouble after a concert promoter accused the rapper of backing out of a major overseas performance deal while still keeping a six-figure deposit.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, production company Moon Dream Production has filed a lawsuit against Saweetie and her touring company, Icy Grl Touring, accusing them of fraud and breach of contract tied to a planned concert run in Japan.

The lawsuit claims Saweetie agreed to perform four shows in Japan between July 18 and July 26, 2025. According to the promoter, the agreement was worth $200,000, with Saweetie allegedly receiving a $100,000 deposit upfront to secure the performances.

Moon Dream Production claims the situation fell apart when the rapper allegedly failed to appear for the contracted shows. The company also alleges that Saweetie and her team still used the visa services arranged by the promoter to enter Japan before allegedly performing at other venues for different vendors during the same time period.

In the filing, the promoter claims Saweetie and her team “utilized all the visa services facilitated by” the company, which allegedly allowed her to “enter Japan, then proceeded to perform at different venues for other vendors on the same dates she was contractually bound to perform” for Moon Dream Production.

The company further claims it suffered major financial losses connected to the canceled performances. According to the lawsuit, the promoter spent roughly $100,000 on merchandise and promotional expenses tied to the shows, along with another $200,000 connected to venue-related costs.

On top of that, Moon Dream Production claims it expected to earn approximately $400,000 in profits from the planned performances, money the company says disappeared once the concerts allegedly did not happen.

The lawsuit also states that Saweetie and her team have refused to return the original $100,000 deposit despite the promoter’s repeated demands.

Now, the company is reportedly seeking more than $3 million in punitive damages in addition to the financial losses connected to the failed concert deal.

So far, Saweetie has not publicly responded to the allegations. The rapper, known for hits including “My Type” and “Tap In,” has continued making appearances and performing while the legal dispute unfolds behind the scenes.
