Amy Luciani Says She Filed For Divorce & Suggested the Prenup Before Leaving Dwight Howard

Amy Luciani is setting the record straight about her split from NBA player Dwight Howard, revealing that despite their marriage lasting only six months, she didn’t ask him for a single dollar in their divorce.

Amy Luciani is setting the record straight, and she’s coming with receipts.

The Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star confirmed this week that she’s officially separated from former NBA player Dwight Howard after just six months of marriage. But while fans and blogs have been buzzing about prenups, alimony, and who’s walking away with what, Amy says the rumors are far from the truth.

In a candid Instagram post on Wednesday (July 9), Amy let it be known: She’s not asking Dwight for a single dollar. Not even 30 cents.

“I’ve never asked him for a single dollar. Not 30 cents,” she wrote. “Before we married, I asked to sign a prenup. I texted it right to him.”

According to Amy, she’s the one who brought up the prenup. Not Dwight. Not a lawyer. Her.

“I told him I want to sign a prenup because I believe what you worked for is yours,” she added. “I’m not the type of woman to take what’s not mine.”

She says she wanted to protect Dwight’s assets from the jump and even offered to make it official in writing. However, according to her, Dwight declined the prenuptial agreement.

Fast-forward to now, and people are assuming Amy is trying to secure the bag through the courts. But she says that’s not the case, and the narrative out there doesn’t accurately reflect who she is.

“These rumors do not align with my character,” she continued. “Believe it or not, some of us women really date/marry for love.”

Court documents filed in Georgia on July 1 cite the marriage as “irretrievably broken” with “no prospects for reconciliation.” While TMZ reports that Amy did request alimony and a fair split of marital property, she’s now clarifying what that actually means. According to her post, she’s not going after anything Dwight earned before they got together. No car, no property, no business, no drama.
