Toni Braxton’s niece, Ashlee Braxton, has opened up about a painful family rift stemming from a serious accusation and alleged abuse.
The Braxton family is no stranger to public drama, but in a recent video, Ashlee revealed that one of her aunts has cut off communication with her due to a false allegation that she had a relationship with her aunt’s partner when she was just 16 years old.
In an emotional revelation shared while getting her makeup done, Ashlee recounted how an allegation from when she was just 16 years old has haunted her and fractured her family ties.
Ashlee began her story by expressing her hesitance to go public, fearing backlash from her family and the emotional toll it might take. “I’ve been a nervous wreck to talk about something like this and to tell the story,” she admitted. “It’s not to hurt people. It’s to tell my story.”
“I was with this aunt for the summer with my sister … I think my stepmother was going through my phone, and she found this conversation, and she showed it to my dad,” Ashlee recounted. “And he called the aunt, and we spoke about it. There was a lot of conversation and emotion and a lot going on. I was 16 at the time, and I’m 32 now.”
Ashlee explained that while her aunt initially expressed sympathy and disbelief, the situation gradually escalated. “And it was like that assumption that I didn’t do anything because I was a child was not that assumption anymore,” she revealed. “And it boggles my mind because it was like, wait, if it happened and was true. That would make him a, you know.”
Fighting back tears, Ashlee detailed how the accusation has impacted her mental health and self-worth, explaining that it remains a painful chapter she’s been working through in therapy.
“I want to shed light for women and men who have gone through something like this where you are underage, and something in that sort of manner happened,” she explained.
As of now, no member of the Braxton family has publicly responded to Ashlee’s claims, but fans are already buzzing about the shocking allegations. Social media has been flooded with messages of support for Ashlee, with many commending her bravery in speaking out.
