Bambi is securing the bag in response to her ex-husband, Lil Scrappy’s, public announcement that he is expecting his fifth child with a third woman.
To help her children process the changes in their family dynamics, Bambi has written a children’s book that explains that their father will soon bring home a new sibling.
Bambi and Scrappy’s relationship on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta has been a rollercoaster of emotions for viewers. The couple’s ups and downs have been constantly documented, from public breakups and makeups to high-stakes drama.
Lil Scrappy and Bambi first met in 2013 on the second season of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. Bambi first appeared as a guest star and potential love interest for the rapper Benzino. However, things turned unexpectedly when Bambi returned as Lil Scrappy’s girlfriend in the third season. This happened shortly after Scrappy ended his nine-year relationship with his ex-fiancée, Erica Dixon.
After six years together, the couple separated and divorced. Lil Scrappy celebrated his new single status with a massive party in Atlanta in September 2023.
In November, reports that Shakira Hardy, a former Pick A Side contestant, was now pregnant with Lil Scrappy’s fifth child bombarded the internet. Apparently, the two met during a show taping and later connected off-camera.
Scrappy and Shakira are seen celebrating their unborn child at a baby shower in several videos shared by both. She confirmed they were expecting a boy and thanked him for his assistance during the event.
Scrappy’s ex-wife and fellow Love & Hip Hop alum, Bambi Benson, who shares three children with him, appears to have responded to this news.
On Saturday, Bambi announced her children’s book, “A New Baby For Us.” She shared the cover and encouraged users to pre-order it for ten dollars, revealing that it is about explaining a partner’s new baby to that partner’s children.
The project appears to be intended to help Bambi explain Scrappy’s new baby to their young children, all of whom are under the age of ten.
“When their dad announces they’re getting a new sibling, the three children have lots of questions,” Bambi’s book description reads, apparently mirroring Lil Scrappy’s unborn child. “As they adjust to the idea of a growing family, they learn that love doesn’t divide; it is multiples! Together, they create a world of imagination, joy, and endless adventures, even as they navigate the changes in their family. This heartwarming story shows that even with big changes, family love is endless.”
After the couple got their divorce last year, Bambi dropped a book with a similar concept about divorce titled: “Mommy, I Want To Go Home.”
