Queen Bey is ringing in her birthday with a powerful new ad for her Texas-based whiskey brand, Sir Davis.

As always, the global icon is doing things in style. This year, Beyoncé marked the occasion with a powerful ad campaign celebrating her latest venture — SirDavis Whiskey, a brand that not only showcases her business acumen but also pays homage to her Texas roots.

Today (Sept. 4, 2024), the global superstar turned 43. And the Texan has a lot to celebrate.

Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Beyoncé has never shied away from embracing her Southern upbringing. Her mother, Celestine “Tina” Knowles, is Louisiana Creole, while her father, Matthew Knowles, is African American.

Her Texan pride is frequently reflected in her music and style, especially when she broke the internet this year with her “country-influenced” album, “Cowboy Carter.”

Despite her claim that “Cowboy Carter” isn’t a country album, two singles, “Texas Hold’ Em” and “16 Carriages,” climbed the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Beyoncé became the first Black woman to have a number-one single on the charts with “Texas Hold’ Em.”

The megastar made headlines again when she announced the launch of her new whisky line, Sir Davis. Beyoncé explained that the brand is named after her great-grandfather, Davis, and her love of Japanese whisky.

To commemorate her birthday, the 32-time Grammy winner shared an ad on Instagram, giving her 316 million followers a taste of her signature whisky.

The clip showed images of the megastar, horses on a ranch, dominoes, dirt roads, and liquor in glasses.

“Strong, confident, not easily shaken or stirred,” Beyoncé can be heard saying in the clip. “A journey to be savored. A taste of decadence.”

“I like my whiskey with a bite.”

SirDavis, made in partnership with Moët Hennessy, is officially available for purchase online and in select stores as of Sept. 4. The brand reported an “overwhelming” preorder period that began late last month.
