Disney+ is set to inspire audiences with Harlem Ice, a groundbreaking five-part docuseries showcasing the extraordinary journey of young women of color in competitive figure skating.
All episodes will premiere on the streaming platform on Feb. 12, following the ambitious athletes of Figure Skating in Harlem as they navigate competitions, personal challenges, and a transformative global opportunity.

Executive-produced by Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts alongside Ron Howard and Brian Grazer through Imagine Documentaries, Harlem Ice delves into the lives of these remarkable skaters.
The series highlights their resilience and determination to shatter stereotypes in a predominantly white sport, striving to “break the ice ceiling” and represent their Harlem-based organization on a global stage.
The docuseries features skaters like sisters Tori and Ashley, newcomer Adrianna, and senior team member Ariyana, sharing their journeys both on and off the ice.
As one skater says in the trailer, “Being on a team with people of color is very different. It’s a lot of pressure.” Another coach underscores the significance of their presence, stating, “When we skate on the ice, we make a statement. We are girls of color, and we’re powerful.”

Figure Skating in Harlem, the organization at the heart of the series, is the first of its kind, empowering girls from underprivileged communities through a combination of athletics, education, and mentorship.
The program focuses on boosting confidence, leadership, and academic excellence, giving these young women tools to excel both in skating and in life.
Audiences can catch all episodes of Harlem Ice streaming exclusively on Disney+ beginning Feb. 12.
