According to Cardi, reaching out and being a supportive “big sister” to up-and-coming female artists has come with a heavy dose of betrayal.

Cardi B’s recent conversation with Kelly Rowland has opened a can of worms. During their chat, the Bronx rapper opened up about feelings of betrayal and loyalty, explaining why she no longer feels inclined to support every emerging artist.

Around the 26-minute mark, Cardi shared that she often reaches out to new female artists through DMs when she notices them being criticized online. She said, “I be like, ‘Hey, you know this is temporary. This is a good and bad thing.'” This is her way of offering encouragement, helping them understand that fame brings both praise and pressure.

However, she revealed something shocking: “I have done that to bitches that done went and f**ked my man and all that shit.” This admission left Rowland visibly surprised. Cardi expressed her frustration about how her initial support for certain women turned into feelings of betrayal.

While she didn’t name specific individuals, the audience had plenty to speculate. The rumor mill regarding Offset’s fidelity has been a constant companion for the couple since they secretly married in 2017. By 2020, Cardi filed for divorce due to his alleged infidelities, only to reconcile soon after. Fast forward to July 2024, and she filed for divorce again, signaling the conclusion of years filled with public speculation.

Over the years, Offset has faced rumors of involvement with women like Cuban Doll, Saweetie, Chrisean Rock, and Celina Powell.

“You gotta know who you being nice to,” she reminded Rowland. What hurt her most was realizing that compassion can sometimes morph into envy. “These bitches right here, you out there feeling sympathy for them and wishing them the best. And they want to be you and fk your na.”*

Despite her heartache, the mother of three is moving forward and preparing for the release of her second studio album, “Am I the Drama?” which drops on September 19, exactly seven years after her Grammy-winning debut, Invasion of Privacy.
