Coco Jones is set to bring her soaring vocals to one of the world’s biggest stages. The Grammy-winning R&B star has been tapped to perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing”—widely known as the Black National Anthem—during the Super Bowl LX pregame show in Santa Clara, California, on Feb. 8, 2026.

The NFL confirmed that Jones will join a trio of major artists for the opening ceremonies. Charlie Puth will perform the national anthem, while Brandi Carlile is slated to deliver “America the Beautiful.” Jones’ selection marks another milestone in the league’s ongoing push to diversify the voices and cultural expressions represented on its biggest day.

For Jones, the moment is both career-defining and culturally resonant. Her performance of “Lift Every Voice and Sing” arrives at a time when representation remains a key point of discussion in American entertainment and sports.

In addition to the vocal performances, the NFL announced a historic move in accessibility: deaf music artist Fred Beam will deliver ASL interpretations of both the national anthem and “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” while Julian Ortiz will interpret “America the Beautiful.” The halftime show will also break new ground with a multilingual ASL program incorporating Puerto Rican Sign Language, led by Deaf Puerto Rican performer Celimar Rivera Cosme, marking a first in Super Bowl history.

“Super Bowl Sunday is the world’s biggest entertainment stage, and we’re proud to spotlight artists who embody the very best of music and culture,” said Jon Barker, the NFL’s senior vice president of global event production. “These artists bring a distinct voice to the moment, helping set the tone for a day that will captivate fans around the world.”

This year’s halftime headliner, Bad Bunny, was announced in September, setting the stage for a lineup that blends mainstream appeal, cultural depth, and growing commitments to inclusion.

For Coco Jones—whose rise has been marked by vocal excellence, resilience, and a steadily expanding fan base—the performance is poised to be one of the most-watched moments of her career. And for millions of viewers around the world, it will be a chance to see a new generation of artists help redefine what the Super Bowl sounds—and feels—like.
