Just days after Jamie Foxx has been discharged from the hospital, reports have confirmed that he and his daughter Corinne Foxx have been tapped to host a new game show set to be called We Are Family on FOX. The show will begin airing in 2024.

On Friday, Corrine released a statement thanking fans for their well wishes and informed the public that her father is recovering after suffering a “medical complication.”

Corrine and her father previously worked together on Beat Shazam, a music-based game show that will have a similar theme to the new show they are scheduled to host.

“We hope this show brings as much fun to audiences at home as we’ve had creating it when it premieres next year,” they said in a joint statement

On We Are Family, relatives of celebrities will perform duets with their famous family member hidden. Audience members will then attempt to guess the celebrity’s identity for a chance to win $100,000.

Jamie and Corrine Fox are “important partners to the FOX family” Allison Wallach, a FOX exec said in a statement. “Their boundless energy and charming interplay with contestants are irresistible, which make them the perfect hosts of We Are Family.”

The news comes just one month after news broke that Jamie was suffering from a medical complication. Days after the news was announced, Corrine posted on Instagram that “due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.” The post has since been taken down.

She has since spoken out to thank fans for their “prayers and support.”

According to PEOPLE, the In Living Color actor and comedian was hospitalized while filming a Netflix movie in Atlanta. It is unclear when he was released.

While hospitalized, hundreds of supporters came out to send their well wishes. In response, he took to social media to say “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed.”
