Kim Porter’s followers raged on social media against Diddy’s Mother’s Day tribute to the late mother of his children.
Diddy tried to show love to his late ex-girlfriend on Sunday, but things didn’t go as planned.
Porter and Combs had a protracted, rocky relationship from the 1990s until their final breakup in 2007.
Barley, a year after their split, Porter passed away from lobar pneumonia in November 2018 at the age of 47.
Diddy took to social media to honor Porter’s memory with a heartfelt tribute this Mother’s Day, expressing his gratitude and love for her.
“HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY KIM! We miss you! We love you! And today, we celebrate you! Love you!” Diddy wrote alongside photos of Porter.
However, instead of receiving support, Diddy found himself at the center of controversy as fans of Kim Porter slammed him for the posthumous tribute.
Many criticized Diddy for exploiting Porter’s memory for public attention, labeling his tribute “demonic” and inappropriate.
Others also leveled damming allegations against the music mogul by implying that he had a hand in the death of Kim Porter.
“He acting like he not the reason she dead 💀,” a fan countered Diddy’s tribute.
Another added, “After he murked her before she could release her tell-all book 🤔.”
“Ki!!ing your children’s mother than posting her on Mother’s Day is another level of ev!l.🤦🏾♀️” more allegations poured in.
Someone questioned, “Did you tell Kim that same message the same year that you broke her nose in 3 places????”
“So demonic, knowing he had her POISONED!” another fan claimed.
During an interview with Essence Magazine in April 2019, Combs referred to Porter as his “soulmate” and shared her final words.
He claimed that she sent the kids to his house a few days before she passed away because she was sick with the flu and didn’t feel well.
Combs recalled, “I was checking on her one night, and she was like, ‘Puffy, take care of my babies.’ That’s what she actually told me before she passed away.”
