South African singer Tyla made waves at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show After Party after a heavenly performance on the runway in feather wings and blinged-out lingerie.
On Tuesday, Oct. 15, the 22-year-old musician delivered her amapiano tunes at the New York City event while looking stunning in a lingerie brand outfit that eclipsed the runway models around her.
Tyla, wearing her own pair of sexy angel wings, performed her Tyla+ single “Push 2 Start” while interacting with the models, including Alex Consani, as they walked down the runway. She then sang her hit “Water” while fanning herself and strutting down the catwalk in baby blue lingerie with golden accents.
Tyla made history at the Grammy Awards earlier this year as not only the first winner of the newly minted category Best African Music Performance and the youngest African artist to take home a Grammy but also caused jaws to drop when she arrived at the Met Gala in a dress made out of sand.
Tyla once again left everyone in awe by stepping out in a lingerie-inspired outfit for her after-party look. The creative ensemble consisted of a series of interlinked white bras artfully designed to form a chic mini-skirt paired with a sleek, white-fitted bralette, which she paired with a colorful fluffy jacket that complemented her daring look.
But before making her debut on the runway, Tyla wore sultry cutouts on the pink carpet ahead of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York on Tuesday.
The Grammy-winning artist chose a Salih Balta gown with crystal embellishments and a floor-length train. She wore bedazzled open-toe heels, a diamond-encrusted choker, and layered rings.
Tyla styled her highlighted hair in a tousled updo, and her makeup included a smokey eye, brown lipliner, and her signature slashed brow.
Following its cancellation in 2019, Victoria’s Secret promised to “reflect who we are today.” It returned with the glitz, glamour, and entertainment that has defined the show since its inception in 1995.
