Fawn Weaver Shares Her ‘Superpower’ That Made Uncle Nearest A Global Success – Wants Others to Discover Their Superpowers

by Gee NY

Fawn Weaver, the powerhouse entrepreneur behind Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey, is proving once again why she’s #ThePeoplesCEO.

In a recent Instagram post, Weaver shared insight into her approach to business success, stressing the importance of identifying and honing one’s unique talents—what she calls “superpowers.”

Weaver, who has built Uncle Nearest into the fastest-growing American whiskey brand, highlighted her own superpower: press. While industry giants poured hundreds of millions into marketing, she leveraged her unparalleled ability to generate media coverage.

“In 2022, Uncle Nearest averaged five press stories a day, five days a week. In 2023, we increased that daily number to seven days a week,” Weaver revealed. “Last year? 2,515 media placements. Over 43 billion impressions. The equivalent of $400 million in earned media.”

The CEO’s PR mastery isn’t just about numbers—it’s about impact. Weaver’s understanding of strategic storytelling has propelled Uncle Nearest into the global spotlight, ensuring that its brand and message reach millions.

Last week alone, Weaver wrapped up a Bloomberg interview discussing Canadian and EU tariffs on American whiskey, with upcoming appearances on Good Night NY and News Nation. After a packed press tour, she’ll return to Tennessee for more media engagements before heading to Washington, D.C., to unveil the $15,000-a-night Nearest Green Suite at the Fairmont Hotel.

Weaver’s journey into media strategy began early in her career, when she noticed an opportunity PR firms weren’t fully capitalizing on—placing products in media coverage with intention. Instead of following a blueprint, she created one. Her advice to others? Identify what comes naturally and lean into it.

“Every one of us has a superpower,” Weaver said. “Maybe it’s bringing people together, problem-solving, creativity, or leadership. The world will try to mold you into something else, but when you lean into your gifts, that door is wide open.”

As Weaver continues to dominate in both business and media, her story serves as a masterclass in leveraging personal strengths for success.

The question she leaves for others: “What’s your superpower? And how are you using it to win?”
