After a brief but dramatic hiatus from social media, Halle Bailey has reactivated her accounts and returned with an apology to her ex, DDG. The Little Mermaid actress addressed her recent outburst toward DDG, admitting that she is going through a difficult time and has been struggling with severe postpartum symptoms.

Halle Bailey took to X on Wednesday night, November 6, to complain about not knowing her child would be participating in the Kai Cenat Livestream. Bailey deactivated her social media account following a few more postpartum comments and some negative backlash.

“Hi everyone. Just so you know, I am out of town, and I don’t approve of my baby being on a stream tonight,” Halle posted to X after the stream went live. “I wasn’t told or notified, and I am extremely upset to have my baby in front of millions of people.”

“I am his mother and protector, and saddened that I wasn’t notified, especially when I am out of town.”

As a woman experiencing severe postpartum,” The 24-year-old wrote in a follow-up tweet, there are boundaries that I wish to be respected. “Nobody knows what someone is going through until they snap.”

After giving herself some time to cool off, she returned with an apology for DDG and a thank you to Kai Cenat for the gifts he gave to Halo.

“Yesterday, maybe I overreacted and shouldn’t have brought it here. I know that Halo is always safe with his dad. I just don’t like finding out with the rest of the world what my baby is doing. Thank you, Kai, for the gifts for Halo,” she tweeted.

Earlier in April, Halle Bailey spoke out about her experience with postpartum depression. She expressed her deep love for her “perfect” son, Halo, and then discussed her experience with postpartum challenges since becoming a new mother.

“I have severe, severe postpartum [depression], and I don’t know if any new moms can relate, but it’s to the point where it’s really bad, and it’s hard for me to be separated from my baby for more than 30 minutes at a time before I start to kind of freak out.”

DDG appeared to be in good spirits last night despite this. He posted a selfie with Halo on his Instagram Story, though he hasn’t commented on the situation publicly.
