Patrice Lee, widely known on social media for inspiring the 50-plus community to live their lives unapologetically, has shared a powerful message about transformation and self-worth.
In a recent Instagram post and video shared on April 23, 2025 (@iampatricelee), Lee explained the importance of seeing the person you want to become — and doing the work necessary to get there.
“See the person you want to become then do the work to become him or her!
When you put in the work, you become a better version of yourself,” Lee wrote in the post.
In an accompanying video, Lee opened up about her personal journey, reflecting on how she moved from a dark, difficult season to a place of peace and happiness.
Lee claims to be in her late 50s, however, her beautiful body and youthful physique have endeared her to the online community.
Responding to a friend who asked how she made such a powerful shift, Lee revealed that real change came through intentional, daily work.

Lee outlined five key steps that helped her change her life:
- Setting Healthy Boundaries: She stressed the importance of protecting her energy and peace by establishing clear personal boundaries.
- Choosing Herself: Lee made the conscious decision to prioritize her own needs and happiness without being burdened by the opinions of others.
- Focusing on Her Own Journey: By tuning out distractions and comparisons, she concentrated on her own growth rather than worrying about others.
- Visualizing Her Future Self: Lee regularly visualized the woman she aspired to become and started showing up as that version of herself every day.
- Taking Care of Her Well-Being: Committing to physical, emotional, and mental health work, she stressed that real transformation comes from going inward and doing the necessary work.
“It’s not a one-size-fits-all or an overnight fix,” Lee shared, encouraging her followers to understand that growth is an ongoing journey.
Her message is resonating with many who are looking for practical yet profound ways to transform their lives through self-love, discipline, and vision.
“I’ve said it before, ‘wise woman’. Wise words. We learn as we progress & as you said we have to put the work in but we feel better for it. Love seeing your posts
