Megan Thee Stallion has made a surprising admission, revealing that she lied to Gayle King during a 2020 interview about her relationship with Tory Lanez.
Megan’s new documentary, Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words, premiered on Thursday, October 31, on Amazon Prime. During one segment of the eye-opening film, Megan admits that she lied when she told Gayle King she was not in a sexual relationship with Tory during their CBS Mornings interview about the shooting.
In April 2022, the “Hot Girl Summer” rapper spoke with Gayle King on “CBS Mornings” about the night Tory Lanez allegedly shot her.
“What was the nature of your relationship with Tory Lanez because he has led people to believe that it was a sexual relationship … that you two were dating? What was the nature?” Gayle King asked Megan at that time.
The Houston rapper responded, “We were not dating. We were really close, we were friends. We hung out, like, every day.”
“Did you have an intimate relationship with him?” King questioned again, to which Megan replied, “Like sexual? Umm, I didn’t have a sexual relationship with Tory.”
But in a recent confession, Megan revealed she had withheld the truth. Her reason? She wanted to keep her personal life private and protect herself amidst a storm of legal battles and public scrutiny.
“Yes, bch. I lied to Gayle King, bch,” Megan says in the documentary clip below. “First of all, I didn’t know that b*ch was even finna ask me about that sht. We supposed to be talking about the shooting.”
“Why are you asking me about fking Tory?” she continues. “That’s not what this is about. Even if I was…I fed the nia like once, maybe twice, on a drunk night. You kept catching me out of my fking mind.”
This turn of events adds yet another layer to the ongoing saga that has captured fans’ attention since 2020 when Megan accused Tory of shooting her after a heated argument.
Megan’s admission is now fueling speculation about what other details may have been manipulated and how this confession might impact Tory Lanez’s appeal to have his sentencing reversed.
