Jasmine Moore, a standout athlete with a legacy spanning from Georgia to Florida, has etched her name in the annals of American track and field history.

The 23-year-old alumna of the University of Florida has secured her place in the upcoming Summer Olympics in Paris, qualifying not just in one, but in two prestigious events: the long jump and the triple jump.

Moore’s journey to Olympic dual qualification was marked by stellar performances at the U.S. Track and Field Olympic Trials held recently.

In a thrilling display of athleticism and determination, she clinched her spot first in the triple jump with a standout final jump that catapulted her to victory.

Days later, she followed up with a strong performance in the long jump, securing her second Olympic berth despite finishing second in the trials.

Her achievement is doubly significant as she becomes the first American woman ever to qualify for both the long jump and triple jump events in the same Olympics.

This accomplishment adds to Moore’s track record of breaking barriers and making history in the field of athletics.

Originally from Grand Prairie, Texas, Moore began her collegiate career at the University of Georgia before transferring to the University of Florida under the guidance of coach Mike Holloway.

Her tenure with the Florida Gators was marked by exceptional success, where she consistently dominated the Indoor and Outdoor National Championships as well as the SEC Championships in both long jump and triple jump events.

Moore’s outstanding performance at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Eugene, where she also qualified for and competed in both events, foreshadowed her historic achievement at the Olympic Trials.

As Moore prepares to represent the United States in Paris, she carries with her a legacy of excellence and a determination to continue pushing boundaries in track and field.

The Olympic Games in Paris will see her competing in the women’s triple jump final scheduled for 2:20 p.m. ET on Saturday, August 3rd, followed by the women’s long jump final at 2 p.m. ET on Thursday, August 8th, both held at the iconic Stade de France in Saint-Denis.

Her journey serves as an inspiration to aspiring athletes and a testament to the relentless pursuit of excellence in sports.
