Joie Chavis has faced her fair share of public scrutiny, including being labeled a “serial “baby mama for having children with rappers Bow Wow and Future and NFL star Trevon Diggs.
But now she’s clapping back and clarifying that she doesn’t rely on anyone else to raise her children.
For context, Joe Chavis has three kids: a 13-year-old daughter, Shai Moss, from her past relationship with Bow Wow, and her 5-year-old son, Hendrix, with Future.
She made headlines again in March when she announced her third pregnancy with Trevon Diggs. In September, she welcomed her baby girl, Harlo Rose, sharing the good news with her fans through a heartwarming video and a series of adorable Instagram photos.
In a TikTok clip posted by @Officialblck and posted on The Shade Room, Chavis reacts to the question, “How do you rise above the hate?” I am ready to fight these people who are crazy about you, lol.”
“Okay, so honestly, I get a lot of hate. And people say the most… rude, disrespectful, mean things about me every single day. Like, I get [tagged] in it. I see TikTok videos that people make. Go out of their way to make to bash and talk about me,” Chavis began in the video.
She went on to clarify that her relationships with these men were genuine and built over time, not quick encounters. “I don’t go looking for nobody, okay! Let’s just get that straight,” she explained. “I don’t go out searching for someone to have a baby with. These are real relationships, years of building something with someone. And sometimes, it just doesn’t work out.”
She further addressed the judgment she’s received from the public for having multiple children with different partners, stating that her life choices aren’t anyone else’s to criticize.
“People act like I just meet these guys, get pregnant, and that’s it. No! It’s a lot more to it. Sometimes, things don’t work out, and that’s okay. Life goes on!”
