“I don’t hate… But in reality, how do you recover from suing your bosses?” Moore blasted.
NeNe Leakes sued Bravo and NBC Universal in April 2022 over working conditions she felt she “wasn’t getting fair treatment”.
The legal documents submitted to the court read, “For years, NBC, Bravo, and True have fostered a corporate and workplace culture that has permitted and tolerated, if not encouraged, racially offensive and insensitive conduct, statements, and actions by their employees.”
In September 2020, she informed her fans that she was leaving “RHOA” on her own terms.
“I have made the hard and very difficult decision to not be a part of ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ season 13. I have been on an extremely, extremely long, exhausting, tiring, emotional negotiation. There has been a lot of emotion flying on both sides,” she said through a video message shared by Deadline.
Explaining the situation during an interview with Carlos King on Reality with the King, Leaks said she was angry after getting phased out for Season 13 of the reality series and being offered six episodes.
While speaking on Audacy’s V-103, Kenya Moore revealed there’s zero chance that the Glee alum will return to the Real Housewives of Atlanta.
“That door is closed. I mean when you sue your employer, what do you expect to happen? I mean, I don’t understand people who there’s a possibility,” she continued. “I mean, I don’t hate the idea. I’ve been very vocal about the fact that I think she was great for the show. But in reality, how do you recover from suing your bosses? And the network? And saying all the things she said?”
Kenya Moore and Nene Leaks drifted apart after Leakes invited Moore’s ex-boyfriend, Walter, to her wedding, disregarding Moore’s feelings. Even though Leakes claimed her husband, Greg, called Walter, Kenya Moore refused to go.
