“Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum Kenya Moore recently stirred the pot during an appearance on Kandi Burruss’ talk show. While praising Nene Leakes’ recent looks, Kenya couldn’t resist adding a subtle jab, advising her former co-star to stop heavy editing her photos.
During the discussion, fans asked Kandi Burruss and Kenya Moore if they were in touch with Nene Leakes. Kandi revealed that she still communicates with her former ‘RHOA’ co-star and even recently spoke with her.
Kenya also mentioned that she has spoken with Nene “periodically.” “We’ll give each other a hug, we’ll talk tea. You know, she’s obviously full of opinions. I wish her all the best, I really do,” she disclosed.
Kandi continued the discussion on a positive note, showering NeNe with compliments. “She looks AMAZING,” Kandi gushed, adding, “She’s been looking great online lately.”
However, the moment took a turn when Kenya Moore chimed in with her signature mix of praise and sass.
Kenya acknowledged NeNe’s stunning looks but couldn’t resist slipping in some critique. “She looks good, but she could back off the filters and stuff,” Kenya quipped, eliciting laughs from Kandi, who quickly jumped in to defend NeNe.
“All of y’all use filters,” Kandi said with a knowing glance into the camera. But Kenya wasn’t having it, though. She denied relying on filters “like that” and doubled down by flaunting her natural beauty. “I wake up looking like this,” she added confidently.
Still talking about Nene, Kenya explained, “I mean, we’ve all done too much editing to our photos and do filters and things like that from time to time, but she definitely has amazing skin, the wigs are together now, she dresses crazy. Her wardrobe just looks so good on her body. She doesn’t need the filters. She doesn’t need the heavy editing. I think she needs to back off that, and she’s fine. I love me some Nene and I definitely think she deserves a second chance at a new career.”
As for NeNe, the RHOA alum hasn’t publicly responded to Kenya’s comments—yet. But if her history is any indicator, fans might want to grab their popcorn for a potential clapback.
