Fashion stylist Law Roach has lashed out at critics who accused him and Naomi Campbell of throwing shade at Rihanna after she snubbed them at Alaïa’s Fashion Show during New York Fashion Week (NYFW).
Roach, known for his larger-than-life personality and impeccable taste, took to social media to respond to the allegations—and he did not hold back.
Rihanna reportedly did not speak with Campbell at the Alaïa runway show during New York Fashion Week, leading to the alleged issues. The Fenty founder was caught on camera greeting former British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enningful while Campbell sat nearby. After exchanging words with him, the singer appeared to breeze by the supermodel, which many believe was intentional.
Following this incident, Roach and Campbell created a video that capitalized on the “demure” trend, which many assumed was directed at Rihanna.
“We don’t go to the shows like the other girls. We don’t come with our ta-tas out,” Roach stated. Campbell followed up with, “It’s not about showing yourself; it’s about showing the clothes.”
Ironically, Rihanna wore stunning in a cleavage-spilling corset underneath a custom cream Alaïa crystal mesh gown with hundreds of seed pearls caught in its web. Rihanna’s boobs are in a near spillage from the tight corset, which was paired with a thong behind the mesh gown.
However, Roach has vehemently denied any intention to shade the singer.
“What’s so funny to me is that in this universe of the internet and social media that ya’ll live in, ya’ll always think something has to be something,” Roach said. “But something ain’t always something. Sometimes, something is just nothing. You know what? Ya’ll need to get some business.”
Meanwhile, Naomi Campbell, who was also implicated in the act, has remained silent on the matter. The supermodel, known for her unapologetic style and iconic status in the fashion world, has yet to respond publicly to the controversy.
But would she ever?
