Love & Hip Hop Hollywood alum Apryl Jones isn’t sweating the slow seasons because while some stars are scrambling, she’s falling back on her degree.
Apryl Jones is living proof that beauty, brains, and backup plans can all exist in the same woman.
The former L&HH star and mother of two just reminded fans that she’s more than just a reality TV personality and Omarion’s ex. When the entertainment industry slowed down, the singer and actress revealed that she had returned to work in her original career: Radiation Science.
In a post shared with her followers, Apryl wrote,
“I busted my butt in school for my Radiation Science degree and it was so worth it! While things are slow in the entertainment industry, I’ve been able to circle back and work in my field! I’ve always been able to have this to fall back on 😉 I also love what I do, so it’s just an extra plus!!!”
That’s a level of transparency fans love to see, especially when it comes from a public figure who’s often underestimated.
The 37-year-old reality star-turned-healthcare professional received a wave of praise across social media for the move, with fans applauding her ability to pivot and reminding others of the importance of having a backup plan.

Apryl, who recently appeared in Poppa’s House (2024) before the show was canceled, says she’s still hoping to book more acting roles in the future, but for now, she’s thankful for the steady work that her degree provides.
Fans first met Apryl Jones on Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood alongside Omarion, the B2K frontman and father of her two children, Megaa (8) and A’mei (6). Their breakup in 2016 was shocking to viewers, coming right after the birth of their second child, and Apryl later revealed in a Voyage LA interview that the split was sudden and emotionally exhausting. She claimed Omarion was serving her court papers and only communicating through third parties.
