Just a few days after Kelly Rowland reprimanded the same usher, Massiel Taveras was seen on camera seemingly pushing away the security guard on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival

At the 77th Cannes Film Festival, the security guard who got into a viral altercation with Kelly Rowland is making more headlines.

This time, footage circulating on social media captures a heated exchange between the same female security guard and Dominican actress Massiel Taveras on the iconic red carpet.

At the time of the incident, Massiel Taveras was attending the premier of the highly anticipated French film The Count of Monte Cristo. Directed by Matthieu Delaporte and based on the novel by Alexandre Dumas, this was a significant event in the entertainment world.

As the star posed on the red carpet in a dress with a white train adorned with a picture of Jesus Christ, the female security guard ushered the actress inside as she tried to pose for photos.

The security guard interfered with the actress’s stance by holding her arm before her. At the same time, other event workers assisted in setting up the train.

The guard seemingly placed her arm over Taveras’ head and chest as she attempted to guide her inside. Trying to fan out the elaborate train of her dress, Taveras appeared to push the guard’s arm away.

After a brief exchange of words, Taveras then turned around and seemingly placed her hand over the guard’s face in retaliation.

The security guard touched Massiel after they reached the top of the stairs, and the actress pushed her away. She waved to the fans but otherwise left, looking annoyed.

A few days before this most recent occurrence, the security guard went viral for engaging in a comparable altercation with Kelly Rowland at the Marcello Mio premiere

On Thursday, May 23, the 43-year-old Mea Culpa actress discussed the incident and her position at the amfAR Cannes Gala.

“The woman knows what happened. I know what happened,” Rowland told the Associated Press. “I have a boundary, and I stand by those boundaries, and that is it.”

Kelly Rowland also noted a discrepancy in treatment, stating, “There were other women that attended that carpet who did not quite look like me, and they didn’t get scolded or pushed off or told to get off.

“I stood my ground, and she felt like she had to stand hers, but I stood my ground.”
