They exchanged vows on March 18, surrounded by just two witnesses. Their mothers. The ceremony was not only intimate but also deeply personal; Majors’ mother, Pastor Terri Anderson-Mays, officiated, while Good’s mother proudly witnessed the occasion. In a recent exclusive interview, Meagan Good reflected on their relationship journey, sharing how their friendship evolved into the love story she had always hoped for. “It felt like God’s plan unfolding,” she said, describing how they transitioned from friends to soulmates.
Their journey to the altar was swift yet genuine. They first met in 2022 at Ebony magazine’s Power 100 Gala, where Majors would propose two years later in Paris after respectfully seeking Good’s father’s blessing. “He said, ‘That’s cool,'” Majors laughed as he remembered the exchange, summarizing the conversation in his own way.
Majors shared that they always intended to keep things low-key. “Eloping was always on the table,” he admitted. Since his mother had never attended any of his film screenings, the idea of her officiating the ceremony felt just right. They chose rings engraved in Hawaii to symbolize their union.
Although the ceremony was small, the emotions were enormous. Majors became teary-eyed during an appearance on Sherri the day after the wedding. “I told Meagan yesterday, ‘Today might be the happiest day of my life.’ I love that woman so much,” he conveyed, clearly moved by the experience.
