Megan Thee Stallion recently announced her hiatus from social media, but we knew she wouldn’t disappear from the limelight altogether.
This week, Snapchat announced the news of Megan Thee Stallion’s pet series, “Off the Leash with Megan Thee Stallion.”
The upcoming show is in partnership with Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith’s Westbrook production company and will be an interview-based show where celebrities and their pets will join Meg, who will interview them “in a way that only Megan can.”
“What’s up hotties, it’s Megan Thee Stallion aka the hot girl coach, and as ya’ll all know, I am one of the best dog moms ever…on the planet, the whole entire planet,” Meg says in a clip posted to her social media.
“I really wanna invite other pet parents to come get wild with me and my boys on the Hot Girl ranch,” Megan added. “Thank you, Snapchat for helping me put this together.”
According to Deadline, Snapchat has launched 128 Snap Original series with 68 partners. Snapchat has 1,500+ Discover channels with 100 million users viewing content each month.
“We are constantly trying to find stories that we think will resonate with our audience, coupled with talent and creators,” said Vanessa Guthrie, head of Snap Originals.
A premiere date for the show is yet to be announced.
During a sitdown with Interview magazine earlier this year, the Houston rapper spoke confidently about her influence and the way that her persona is often misinterpreted under the spotlight.
“I definitely feel like we are creating herstory. When they look back years from now, they’re going to see, “Oh, these was the women that was really taking over.” People really don’t know that a lot of us are actually cool outside of the rap shit or outside of the internet,” she said. “A lot of the time, how we come across on the internet is not really reflective of how we are in real life. Both of y’all are so sweet, but y’all so real, too. That’s what it is. Sometimes it’s hard to translate how real you are over a screen.”
