Mo’Nique is doing her best to refute Shalon Jackson’s allegations. But fans believe she is proving him right by sharing 3-year-old private chats online.

The text messages popped up the day after Shalon went on TikTok to speak out about his strained relationship with his mother.

Shalon Jackson, eldest son of Mo’Nique, said she cares more about her ‘Daddy’ husband, Sidney Hicks, than mending their broken relationship.

In the 9-minute video, he stated that Mo’Nique had told him she was uninterested in being his mother. He also revealed that his mother lacked “humility, compassion, and consideration” and was only willing to accept her responsibilities after marrying her husband.

The comedian responded quickly, accompanied by her husband, Sidney Hicks.

“There are some people who are saying ‘you should be ashamed of your mothering skills. Let’s let it play out. The same ones who said to me I was crazy and deranged, we watched it play out. So, just like with my son, we’ll watch this play out,” Mo’Nique said.

Her husband also added his voice, citing instances where they had their financial support, including when they bought stuff for the 31-year-old’s baby and helped with down payments on his cars.

After that video, Mo’Nique has continued to respond to her son’s claims of emotional neglect by posting text messages between the pair from 2020 and 2021.

“HEY MY SWEET BABIES. HERE ARE THE RECEIPTS FROM A MOTHER WHO ALLEGEDLY DOES NOT LOVE HER SON. WE ARE SHARING THIS WITH YOU SHALON & THE COMMUNITY! SOME WILL COMPLETELY GET IT OTHERS WON’T. WE LOVE US 4REAL,” the comedian wrote on Instagram.

However, the move hasn’t gone over well with some fans.

A few dropped their thoughts on the situation in the comment section.

“Baby you should have kept them “receipts” tucked away ’cause it’s giving you don’t make time for your child,” someone wrote.

A fan said, “No, no. This is not for us to know. Shalom isn’t a Hollywood exec or former business partner. This is her child. I don’t know anything about their history, but this should not be news for us to consume.”

“Never do this, Mo. As mothers, we don’t have to prove to a bunch of strangers that never bought a can of milk, one single pamper, or spent one dime on our children. Real mothers know you love them,” another added.
