Mother Faces Jail Time After Leaving 3 Kids Home Alone for Days During Liposuction Trip

Domonique Knowles, a 32-year-old mother, is facing serious legal consequences after leaving her three children home alone for nearly three days while she traveled to Florida for liposuction surgery.

The alarming situation has raised concerns about child safety and parental responsibility.

Authorities became aware of the circumstances when Knowles’ 10-year-old child disclosed to a teacher that they had been left unsupervised and were receiving Uber Eats deliveries that were simply left at the door.

This prompted the teacher to alert local authorities, who conducted a welfare check at the family’s home.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the apartment in disarray, with spills on the floor and a hazardous environment. One of the 7-year-old twin sisters, who has special needs, even slipped and fell during the visit.

The judge overseeing the case emphasized that Knowles had put her children in serious danger by failing to provide adequate supervision.

Prosecuting attorney Michael Maloney criticized Knowles’ negligence, stating:

“Remote work is one thing; remote mom is another,” condemining the lack of proper care given to her children during her absence.

It was further revealed that Knowles had misled her own mother about the situation, failing to inform her that the children were alone.

Initially, Knowles denied leaving Ohio but later admitted to spending two nights in Miami. She claimed she had traveled to support a friend undergoing liposuction, but her explanations began to unravel.

Body camera footage captured Knowles asserting that her children were capable of staying home alone, a statement that officers found unacceptable, especially considering the special needs of her twins.

Investigators also noted that a patio door was left unlocked, raising additional safety concerns regarding the potential risks of wandering off or abduction.

Knowles was ultimately found guilty of child endangerment earlier this month and is scheduled for sentencing, facing up to six months in prison for her actions.
