MSNBC host Joy Reid made a bold change to her appearance after a conservative journalist taunted her about her hairstyle, accusing her of “stealing” Donald Trump’s signature look.
Reid, known for her bleach-blond combover, has often been compared to the former president’s iconic hairdo.
The comparison reached a peak recently when Real America’s Voice reporter Ben Bergquam confronted Reid as she entered a New York City courthouse where Trump was on trial for allegedly paying off a porn actress to influence the 2016 election.
“Do people with Trump Derangement Syndrome know they have it?” Bergquam asked Reid, to which she sharply replied, “You’re an idiot!”
Bergquam then questioned:
“Did you steal Trump’s haircut, or did he steal yours?” Reid walked away without responding.
Shortly after the encounter, Reid appeared on her MSNBC show “The ReidOut” with a freshly shaved head, maintaining her blonde color.
“It’s hair-free summer, everybody! Enjoy it!” she announced on the show.
The conservative X account End Wokeness reacted by noting:
“Joy Reid just ditched the Trump hair and replaced it with a prisoner cut. Touché.”
Reid’s new look marks a striking departure from her previous style, reflecting her unflappable response to the criticism.
