NEW YORK - SEPTEMBER 8, 2015: Oprah Winfrey attends US Open 2015 tennis match between Serena and Venus Williams at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York

Media mogul Oprah Winfrey has an already impressive collection of property sprawling from South Africa to Montecito and all in between. Now reports say she is adding Maui to her list of properties.

According to a sales deed obtained by KITV4, the TV personality has just purchased 870 acres of land in Kula, a lush piece of land in the center of Maui. Reports say she purchased the property for $6 million and purchased it from Ulupalakua Ranch.

The land is just the latest of the more than 100 acres of land she owns, which already has made her one of the nation’s top landowners. Over the past 20 years, she has invested millions in buying and developing land on the island, including 60 acres in the Hana area, 100 acres on the island’s eastern coast and 163 acres in Kula. Her current property on the island holds a farmhouse and was formerly an equestrian ranch made up of 4,300 square feet, three bedrooms, and three and a half bathrooms.

The mogul has also been “busily developing the farmland surrounding her Maui home to grow fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers,” according to an article in Robb Report. “In 2019, she gave audiences a peek inside the expansive ranch with an ATV tour published in O Magazine, showcasing the rich soil and the wide array of produce she and her friend and personal trainer Bob Greene, have been able to grow on the land. It’s possible that she hopes to do more of the same with this new purchase of an additional 870 acres nearby.”

The 69-year-old Mississippi native is not the only A-lister who owns property on the lush island. Clint Eastwood, Steven Tyler, Owen Wilson, Mick Fleetwood and Woody Harrelson all own property there, although none of there’s come close in size to the media maven’s new chunk of land.
