The woman was on the run after being accused of aiding and abetting in the murder of a 28-year-old man in Philadelphia, but she has since been found and taken into custody, according to police.

Twenty-two-year-old Shakya Aiyona El is accused of setting up the death of Amir Nobles when she asked him to pick her up from a Philadelphia neighborhood around 3:30am, according to Agent Brittany Alexander with the Williamsport Bureau of Police.

When Nobles arrived, members of an opposing gang were at the scene waiting to ambush and kill him.

Police were called to the scene shortly after and found a white 2019 Hyundai Tucson SUV riddled with bullet holes. Nobles was in the car alone and did not respond to authorities upon arrival.

“Officers approached the vehicle and found that the driver was not moving and had suffered at least one gunshot wound to the head,” said Alexander. Medical responders confirmed that the victim succumbed to his injuries.

El has been charged along with two other individuals with alleged gang ties in Philadelphia.

“There is probable cause to believe that not only did Shakya El lure the victim to Bridge Street where he was then ambushed and killed, but that she conspired with the individuals responsible for his death to orchestrate and carry out the plan,” authorities say.

Detectives say El is affiliated with the 234 Gang while Nobles was tied to a neighboring gang called 16 Street.

“Nobles was an associate of 16 Street and Tasker St. Gang which had been involved in a longtime dispute with the 234 Gang,” investigators say.

El was denied bail and is currently being held at Lycoming County Prison. She has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder of the first degree, criminal homicide, aggravated assault and criminal use of a communication facility.

It is unclear whether police have filed charges against the other two suspects in the crime.
