Before Raven-Symone became a wife, she was not playing about her private relations while on dates.

In a recent interview on the Howie Mandel Does Stuff podcast, The Cosby Show star shared that in order to go on a date with her, suitors would need to sign a non-disclosure agreement consenting not to share any information about their relations. Non-disclosure agreements – better known as NDAs – are legally enforceable contracts between two or more parties that are used to safeguard certain information and ensure they will remain confidential.

“All of my relationships, especially, obviously, when I started dating, I had to get people to sign NDAs,” she said. “It took me a while to wrap my head around it because it’s very impersonal, but someone in our position needs to do that.”

The 37-year-old Atlanta native got her first big break while starring alongside Bill Cosby and Phylicia Rashad on The Cosby Show. She would later become a household name with her widely popular That’s So Raven and hit talk show The View. She currently appears on That’s So Raven revival show, Raven’s Home.

The actress further revealed that “before the naughty times,” partners would have to sign an NDA. She even asked that her wife Miranda Pearman-Maday sign an NDA.
“We were in New York. We were in this outdoor French-type of restaurant, and my mom had been bugging me,” she gushed. “She was like, ‘You got to get it signed. I’m like, ‘She’s from the industry.’ And my mom was bugging me.”

It was difficult, she added, “because I knew something was different about Miranda.”

Luckily, her wife understood and signed the paperwork.

“We both were like, ‘This takes away the genuineness of it all,’ but we also understood that we live in Hollywood,’” the Cheetah Girls star said of her new wife. “She knows who she is, so she did it.”

Raven-Symone and her wife wed in 2020.
