Raven-Symoné and wife Miranda Pearman-Maday are spilling the tea on their unconventional marriage hack that requires separate sleeping quarters!

The couple, who tied the knot in 2020 after five years of dating, recently revealed on Jeff Lewis Live that the secret to their marital peace isn’t long love notes or couples’ yoga. It’s sleeping in separate bedrooms.

And according to both of them, that one decision has been a game-changer.

“Raven is a crazy sleeper and she would keep me up at night,” Miranda shared during their June 26 radio appearance. “She kicks, tosses, and breathes.”

Raven, ever so candid, jumped in to paint an even clearer picture, contrasting Miranda’s detailed wind-down routine with her own. “It’s the hair, the humidifier, the curtains, the way she lies in the bed with red light systems on her whole entire body,” Raven explained about Miranda’s elaborate setup. Then, she hilariously contrasted it with her own pre-sleep ritual: “I’m in bed on TikTok. My legs are spread all the way open, half naked.” When Miranda playfully joked that Raven might have “washed her face that day,” the former Disney Channel star quipped, “Probably not.”

By carving out their own personal space at night, the couple says they’re able to bring more peace and energy into the relationship overall.

“You don’t have to sleep in the same bed to be close,” Raven basically implied.

This isn’t the first time the duo has marched to the beat of their own drum. Their love story has always been refreshingly honest and a little offbeat. When they got married in 2020, Raven said, “I got married to a woman who understands me from trigger to joy, from breakfast to midnight snack, from stage to home.”

Of course, Miranda and Raven have had to weather outside noise before. Just last year, Raven publicly defended her wife after fans sent death threats when Miranda casually revealed she’d never watched That’s So Raven.

But the pair stood strong, and continued to thrive, proving that love doesn’t have to look like everyone else’s to be real, healthy, or long-lasting.
