HBO Max has announced the premiere date for the fifth and final season of Issa Rae’s “Insecure.”

The fifth season will debut this October.

Yvonne Orji, Jay Ellis, Natasha Rothwell, Amanda Seales, Courtney Taylor and Leonard Robinson will all star alongside Rae in the popular series.

“Issa has turned insecurity into an iconic form of comedy,” said Amy Gravitt, HBO’s executive vice president of programming back in January following the announcement of the show’s end.

“The show is as incisive as it is heartfelt, and it has resonated strongly with its audience because of the deeply personal work that Issa, Prentice, Melina, the cast and the writers have put into it. This talented team has conceived a brilliant final season for Insecure and we look forward to having many more stories to tell with this singular group of collaborators.”

Filming for the show wrapped up in June.

“Said goodbye to some of my favorite people on Earth, on and off screen, this past week,” Rae tweeted. “Never imagined all the doors this would open. Forever grateful to those who paved the way for us to do us.”

As for the plotline, no details have been given away.

Even the synopsis in the press release is vague.

“The forthcoming episodes will follow the characters as they evaluate past, present, and future relationships in order to smoothly enter the next phase of their lives,” writes HBO.

“Prentice [Penny] and I are so grateful that HBO believed in our show from the beginning and kept faith in us to see our vision through the end,” Rae told Harper’s Bazaar August. “We always planned to tell this story through five seasons, but we couldn’t have made it this far without the tremendous support of our audience. I feel blessed beyond measure to bring our characters’ stories to an end, on-screen at least.”
